- He led professional teams supporting European Institutions, governments, and corporate businesses in implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and operational and technical measures.
- Appointed as Director of the National Cyber Security Directorate.
- Serves on the management boards of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), along with other roles at Romanian and European levels.

In November 2021 he was appointed as The Director of the National Cyber Security Directorate, by decision of the Romanian Prime-Minister.
Dan is management board member of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), in addition to several other roles at the level of Romanian and European level.
