Born in Czechoslovakia, Jakub Zverina hails from a technical engineering background with 20 years of experience across engineering, operations, delivery and cyber roles across government and the private sector in Australia. He has managed multi-disciplinary technical teams and led several large and complex, multi million dollar programs of work, delivering applications and uplifting IT infrastructure, organisational maturity and cyber security posture.
He currently works in an organisational capability function responsible for ensuring 1300+ team members at CyberCX have the technical skills needed to deliver end to end cyber capabilities for the Australian market.
He’s also part of the Australian Government’s Executive Cyber Council – Cyber Workforce Working Group where he plays a key role in shaping the national cyber workforce program which promises to provide a consistent, scalable, and repeatable model for building cyber skills and growing Australia’s sovereign capabilities.
Passionate about emerging technologies and a champion for change, he provides an industry voice in various committees and working groups to help shape outcomes that advance diversity and inclusion, improve fit for purpose of cyber learning and building sovereign cyber capabilities. Jakub has a Masters degree in Information Systems Management and Project Management as well as several technical certifications.
