Jana Bašistová

I completed both my engineering and doctoral studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, specializing in Geodesy and Cartography, with a focus on GNSS data processing and remote sensing. At NÚKIB, I hold the position of Head of the Satellite Services Security Department (OBSS), where my responsibilities include the implementation of satellite services in the Czech Republic that are part of the EU Space Program. These services includes the PRS (Public Regulated Service) encrypted satelite navigation service of the Galileo system for authorized users and sensitive applications, satellite communication services for the state administration of GOVSATCOM system, and the expansion of satellite communication within Union Secure Connectivity programme through the construction of a multi-orbital satellite constellation.

For the implementation of these services, a Competent Authority must be established in the EU member state, which in the Czech Republic is NÚKIB, specifically OBSS. To ensure the correct and secure implementation and operation of these services, NÚKIB develops separate legislation and implements classified communication link with GSMC (Galileo Security Monitoring Center). Additionally, we are working on the creation of a national system for the management of these services and their users within the Czech Republic. As a guarantor, OBSS also engages in research and application projects.
